ABOUT THE MARKET

The Spread the Aloha market is hosted by the owners of aloha Kai, Jackie and Puna. The first market was hosted in 2017 at a small location in Abbotsford and was created to bring together talented makers. It quickly grew to include many amazing local small shop vendors, Polynesian dancing, Hawaiian jams and Hawaiian food.

The vibe at the Spread the Aloha market is a special one. Jackie and Puna put so much love into planning this event with the intention of bringing the aloha spirit to the community.

With the support of our generous customers, vendors and donors, every market includes an aspect of giving back.

We hope you'll join us for the next Spread the Aloha market!

ABOUT ALOHA KAI

Meet the Founders of the Spread The Aloha Market

aloha Kai is a Hawaiian kids and adults clothing brand and we want to spread the aloha. aloha Kai means “love of the ocean.”

My husband, Puna, was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and I was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. When I was pregnant, Puna moved to Vancouver to be closer to me and my son Jase. We created aloha Kai shortly after our second son, Kainoa, was born.

Puna, like many Hawaiians, is very proud of his Hawaiian roots. We started aloha Kai to share our love of Hawaii, and at the same time it has allowed us to give back and encourage people to Spread the Aloha. We’ve chosen to donate partial proceeds to BC Children’s Hospital because we know first-hand what it’s like to have a sick child who needs urgent care.

aloha Kai is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. All our designs are created and printed locally with so much aloha! You’ll continue to see new additions to our collection as we work to keep aloha Kai fresh! continue to see new additions to our collection as we work to keep aloha Kai fresh!
